Apollo In-Vivo Detectors - Precise and Practical!

The Apollo detectors are designed with ease of use, safety and accuracy in mind. There are four standard detector versions with internal build-up from 5 to 30 mm and the build-up thickness is indicated by the color of the detector. All of them have the same external dimensions and hemispherical shape and thin "wings" at the cable entrance for easy and reliable application to the patient's skin with surgical tape. The hemispherical shape minimizes the perturbation of the field and gives a very low directional dependence. The detector is very robust and can be cleaned with conventional disinfectants. The detecting element is a silicon diode with a special doping that gives excellent linearity and long term stability even after large amounts of integrated dose. |
